I haven't been here since 2015 and they still haven't changed its a nice place to get great food if your in grand haven or just passing by this little hole in the wall better be a choice because your missing out on good food at a great price. I was just there this past Sunday and took my family out for some eats they haven't been there but I have they loved it got fried pickles and onions, triple cheeseburger, chicken dinner, perch dinner three pops medium, large, and extra large, cheese curds and extra fries all of that with a tip 63 dollars try getting that at McDonald's for paper weight and belly ache this place has so much more to offer so if your passing through and don't know what to eat this should be a place you want to checkout it's been around since 1960 and it's great and want fresh food not lamp heated or hot boxed... Thanks guys keep up the great work!
Cool little spot! Delicious, quick, and fresh! We ordered a couple burgers, fries, and shakes. All awesome! Tastes so much better than garbage fast food!
The place itself seems old and a bit worn, but I thought the food was solid. I had a double cheeseburger, and it tasted great with the cheese melted just the way I like. The fries were also good. Prices were comparable to a fast food restaurant, and I thought the food was a step up from that. Service was fairly bare bones, but acceptable. I was happy with my meal.
Entering in I had a welcoming conversation with the cashier :) After ordering the fry cook offered samples for some new menu options. Which I graciously accepted If the cheese bite sample was slightly more cheesy it might see be on a GR menu I especially appreciated the conversation that the cashier and employees had while myself and others were waiting for their food. Personally, I knew Ray's for their hamburgers and milkshakes. I am excited to try their fried food because I never tried it and it is amazing Ray's is highly underrated and is a place I am think of visiting more when I am hungry -- The other customers who waited all ordered chicken fingers...
I grew up around Rays, and long for their fries. Unfortunately the economic times the burgers don't seem nearly as beefy as they once where and the shakes have gotten smaller. It's disappointing, especially with the burgers. Also the bussiness seems a little dead. Still I give them 5 stars because I got to (somewhat) relive a childhood memories with my daughter. Priceless.
This a unique little drive thru diner. You walk in and place your order then wait while two men in the back prepare your food. Food is prepared on the spot but oh so delicious! We decided to stop at this hole-in-the-wall diner expecting good food which is exactly what we got. Yummy double cheeseburger! We knew we hit the jackpot when we saw people after people coming in. The tiny spot got packed quick. Give it a try as they have fish dinners too!
Food is delicious. Very good shakes. Little of a wait but I'll definitely come back. Fresh food and ingredients.
So much to love about Rays!!! The food is always amazing. Burgers are fresh and tasty. Fries are always fresh and crispy with just the right amount of salt. Shakes are so delicious here. This is probably my all time favorite burger spot in west Michigan.
